Last week, Kyriaki Tsortanidou from our project partner CERTH had the pleasure of attending and participating in the prestigious Springschool Hydrogen Technologies 2024 in Heide, Germany. This event provided an incredible platform to delve into the latest advancements in hydrogen-related technologies and their applications.
From both research and industry perspectives, participants explored the state-of-the-art hydrogen technologies in the EU, with a particular focus on Germany. The event facilitated a rich exchange of knowledge about the production of hydrogen and its derivatives, as well as the storage, distribution, end-use, and the burgeoning startups in this field.
A highlight of the event was Kyriaki’s 3-minute pitch talk on the “Decarbonization of Maritime Transport through the Use of Electro-Methanol” within the context of the POSEIDON Project. Her insightful presentation not only captivated the audience but also earned her the 3rd prize among all participants.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kyriaki for this remarkable achievement and for representing the POSEIDON Project with such distinction. Her success underscores the innovative spirit and dedication that drives our collective efforts towards a sustainable future.
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards decarbonizing maritime transport!
Congratulations, Kyriaki! π
