Recently, we had the privilege of participating in the 9th edition of the International Conference on Biotechniques for Air Pollution Control and Biorefinery. Feliu Sempere Nàcher from project partner Global Omnium presented the latest advancements from in biogas treatment and valorization. Highlights included the results from the AVI BIOMETANO and IVACE VALDIGEST projects, along with introductions to other related initiatives such as our POSEIDON project and Horizon UP-TO-ME.
The conference was an intense and productive experience, offering valuable insights into innovative projects and cutting-edge research in biotechnologies for gas treatment.
The 9ᵗʰ International Conference on Biotechniques for Air Pollution Control and Biorefinery (Biotechniques-2024) took place from 10-12 July and organised by the BIOENGIN group of the University of A Coruña (Spain), under the auspices of CO₂ Value Europe.
Biotechniques-2024 covers a wide range of topics related to the application of aspects including environmental biotechnology, metabolic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and industrial applications, among others, related to air pollution control, greenhouse gas mitigation, gas fermentation in bioreactors, (bio)fuels production and upgrading. The conference opens new doors to academic and industrial partners to facilitate research cooperation between academia and industry, potentially allowing the commercialisation of innovative bioprocesses.
